Graduation and a house divided

Friday, May 26, 2017

John and Emily graduated from Louisville Male Traditional High School.

John was one of the Salutatorians in the class.

There were several valedictorians and salutatorians.  We are proud of his accomplishment.  He also was honored for being a member of BETA Club and an Advanced Placement Scholar.

Emily received honors in Latin, BETA Club, National Honor Society and also earned the title of Advanced Placement Scholar.  She makes us very proud.

Family gathered together to celebrate this milestone in their lives.

For probably the last time, John and Emily attended a school function involving both of them.  That seems strange.

But it  looks to be our new reality.  No more shared school, shared teachers or shared classes.  No more comparing homework or friends.

Emily is headed to University of Kentucky to begin her studies  as a speech pathology student.
GO BIG BLUE! She will be a Wildcat this fall.

John is staying in town to attend University of Louisville.  He plans to study music education.
GO BIG RED!  John will be a Louisville Cardinal.

Both are great schools.   With the priority being to maintain peace and harmony in the house, we will become the Switzerland of college rivalries.  Neither blue nor red shall I wear for the indefinite future.

Congratulations on all you have accomplished.

And best wishes for all you do in the future!
We love you.
