Remembering

It only takes one glimpse

of the perfectly spaced markers

stretching out in endless rows

to remember

Freedom is never free.

God bless each one who served.

God bless their families.

God bless America.

Macaroni Farming

Farm equipment has been seen a lot here lately.  I guess that's a sign of spring.
My bedroom floor has been the fields being planted.

I'm guessing he's growing dust bunnies looking at the condition of my house.

When not busy with the spring planting, the two little ones have whiled away these many rainy days doing things like

playing with macaroni

our version of indoor sand

Grace likes to cook with it and Grant likes to farm with it.

No, we do not eat the 'played with' macaroni.  It gets saved for another rainy day.

My edible macaroni is hidden safely in a cabinet.

Busy Baking

This is Grace putting cookies in her "oven"

 Waiting.....waiting.....waiting.....
Now they're done and ready to come out of the "oven"

The finished product ready to eat

This is Emily.....
well, actually it is Emily's hand

separating an egg while making cupcakes

This is Emily decorating the cupcakes.

Look at that technique!!!

These would be the finished products.

Emily and I made two dozen cupcakes.  Of course then Grace wanted to make cupcakes so we made another two dozen cupcakes.

Several neighbors received unexpected gifts last weekend.

You guessed it....

cupcakes.

We did NOT need to eat four dozen cupcakes in this household.

Off to iron (again).
