Times are hard

The economic downturn our country is suffering became very apparent to me this weekend.  This country is experiencing a severe shortage.

That shortage relates to the raw materials needed to produce textiles.

Those textiles are then needed to produce t-shirts that actually COVER my soon-to-be-teenage-daughter's midsection and other important areas.

There is no other explanation for the lack of fabric used by manufacturers to make clothes for teenage girls!

WOW!

I took Emily to Plato's Closet this weekend. It is a consignment shop for teenagers.  I had never been in one before.

Given my age it is safe to assume I had also never been in an Abercrombie store, a Hollister store, Wet Seal, Forever 21, nor any of those other teenage mecca's of clothing.

I see the future.

It is a bit scary from here.

I will be investing in burlap to cover my daughters for the next twenty or so years.

Got to get going tonight.  I have some burlap t-shirts to sew.
