Progress

Let's have a barn raising!

The wait is over.
Our pad no longer sits empty. The barn was started last week.

Can't wait to see it done!

I worked on flower beds at the house yesterday. The ducks were my constant companions.

It probably helped that I threw them a handful of feed every time I went in the garage!

I think it is physically impossible to watch ducks for any length of time and not find a reason to smile.

I cracked open a hive too. The bees are busy making honey. I hope they have a good year. I have more requests for honey than I do for syrup!

Here is what sweet Emily surprised me with on Mother's Day. Lotion and flowers. Perfect.

She also helped the two younger kids with homemade cards.

She's so good with them when they work on projects like that. I think the teaching gene might be lurking in her. We shall see.

Redneck ride to the ice cream shop Sunday evening.
They sat on lawn chairs in the back of the truck. Probably not socially acceptable in our neighborhood, but then we've never let a little detail like social acceptance stand in the way of a good time.

Happy Tuesday!
