Here's an update on my homemade laundry detergent.....
Thirty minutes in the kitchen was all I invested.
I started out with this....
melting shredded ivory soap in boiling water.....
that yielded something that looked like this.....
which was dumped into this.
I then mixed in two cups of this.....
and two cups of this....
and this was the final goopy gloppy product.

So far so good. The short term results have been super.
No one is itching or complaining of strange rashes.
My clothes aren't dingy and gray yet.
Now I am moving into the long term assessment stage.
I'll see how things look in a month or two.

I think a little free time as my kids get older could yield me a new hobby....
trying to save money.
This has been a fun project.
Not a bad hobby I suppose.
